Reform Studio is built on a single material idea: plastic-bag waste spun into thread and woven on traditional Cairo looms. Mariam Hazem and Hend Riad turned that constraint into a design language — work in their Plastex weave that has been shown at Design Days Dubai and the V&A.
The studio treats sustainability as the discipline rather than the marketing, and Cairo craft as a live tradition rather than an ethnographic reference. It is one of the region's clearer cases of a material problem becoming a brand.
