EDITOR'S NOTE
QOFFAH takes its name from the North African word for a basket — the everyday object Meriem's grandmother filled with bright fabrics, calling her granddaughter "Miss Little Fabrics." That childhood image became a house: handbags and scarves that carry the basket's logic of continuity and generosity into a contemporary register.
The work joins Moroccan craft to European leather — raffia and structured leather, gold-tone hardware, pieces meant to take on character with wear. Accessories built as inheritance rather than season, the kind of object passed forward.
