Nevin Altmann

Since 1988, Nevin Altmann has turned Egyptian hand-embroidery into a wardrobe — Fellahy scenes of Nile Delta life, Siwa and Sinai stitchwork, Nubian kaftans — worked in linen and cotton by the artisan women the label was built to champion. From the Zamalek studio the range runs kaftans and shawls into embroidered leather bags and wallets, priced roughly $4–1,155. It reads as heritage kept alive rather than shelved; the hand-embroidered kaftans are where the founding instinct still shows most directly.
