Kayegy started in 2018 with a single idea most Cairo design labels won't sit still long enough to execute: take Egyptian iconography — the cartouche, the pyramid silhouette, the lotus — and translate it to leather goods and ready-to-wear without sliding into souvenir-shop tropes. Karim Mostafa runs the line tightly. The Cartouche Wallet is the piece you'll keep returning to — embossed, restrained, the kind of object that reads more clearly six months in than on the day you unbox it. The Instagram grid is as deliberate as the merchandising, which is a separate skill most labels don't bother to build.
