Zeid Hijazi

Zeid Hijazi is working from Jordan at a moment when Amman's design scene is drawing more outside attention than it has in years — Skourti's international reach has raised the ceiling for what a Jordanian label can plausibly be. What Hijazi is doing within that context is harder to pin down from public information alone; the work exists primarily on Instagram, which tells you something about the distribution model but less about the construction. The Instagram presence suggests an interest in structured modest dressing. A label worth watching if only because Amman at this particular moment is a more interesting place to be building something than it was a decade ago.
