Rouba G founded her label in 2016 after two design degrees in Beirut — graphic design in 2010 and fashion design in 2012 — a year of Business of Fashion coursework at Condé Nast College in London, and a Master's in Fashion and Luxury Management from GBSB Barcelona that she finished in 2020. She is Lebanese, born in Beirut in 1989, currently working from Spain. The brand carries the Beirut training in its drape and the European stops in its production logic.
Collections arrive in narrative chapters — "A Darker Love," "Love is Okay," "La Vallée des Fleurs," "Le Retour" — and the price band sits in the considered-occasion register rather than in the eveningwear couture lane most Beirut-formed designers default to. The label's register is closer to Mira Mikati than to the Lebanese couture mainstream.
