Visit ↗Hussein Bazaza opened his Beirut atelier in 2012, the year after graduating from ESMOD Beirut. He had interned at Maison Rabih Kayrouz in Paris and worked as a junior designer at Elie Saab; the training shows in the construction discipline more than in any obvious eveningwear lineage. Collections are organized around narrative seeds — a personal memory, a song, a place — and the resulting garments tend to read more like written work than like merchandising.
The awards came early and steadily: Elle Style named him Best Upcoming Middle East Designer in 2013 in a vote across 44 of its global editors, Vogue Italia's "Who is on next?" Dubai followed in 2015, the inaugural Style.com/Arabia–DDFC Fashion Prize landed in 2016, and a Fashion Trust Arabia finalist position came in 2019. Online retail is direct from the atelier rather than through a third-party platform — the practice is run small enough that fulfillment is part of the design work.
