HAK The Label
Visit ↗Hakima Al Said launched HAK The Label from Muscat in 2018, working in fine jewelry at a scale — and with a restraint — that sits at some distance from the Gulf's louder luxury register. The pieces are small and deliberate: evil eye forms in violet, dome bracelets, rings named BALANCE and IBTI. Cultural references arrive without announcement. The evil eye reads as structure rather than symbol; the cartouche-adjacent forms don't announce their sources. That the label is stocked at The Jewellery Room in Denmark suggests the work travels without explanation — a reasonable test for whether cultural symbolism has been properly digested into design. Oman has few fine jewelry labels operating at this pitch of minimalism, which makes HAK's positioning within its home market the more interesting question.
